I’m thrilled to share a new habit I’ve adopted this year, and it’s been incredibly effective for me. I’ve returned to using Ketones during the day, particularly before workouts, to help me focus better and enhance my productivity and focus at work. I can’t believe I ever stopped doing this; it’s been a game-changer.
To clarify, I’m currently focusing on Ketones primarily to improve my focus, not for extra energy during training. That’s a whole different aspect of Ketones we can discuss at a different time.
There are two major brands in the Ketones market: DeltaG and KetoneIQ. Both offer products that increase blood Ketone levels. For now, I’m focusing on KetoneIQ for two main reasons: its taste and cost.
KetoneIQ, produced by HVMN, is what I have been using. I take a 2oz serving. We have had multiple people test this in the office, and we consistently see blood ketone levels after about 30 to 45 minutes rise to 1.5 to 2.2 mmol. This is like you have been fasting all day.
Today, I used it before my longest run of the year, which was quite challenging, especially as it was on a treadmill due to bad weather. Taking 2oz of KetoneIQ beforehand significantly helped me maintain focus throughout the run.
In the past few weeks, I’ve also been taking a 2oz serving at my desk in the afternoon or 30 minutes before a big meeting. My colleagues have even noticed how much more focused I am.
A bonus is that taking KetoneIQ in the afternoon has noticeably reduced my urge to snack, and I’m satisfied with lighter meals. There’s no doubt in my mind that using KetoneIQ while fasting or as a way to reduce daily calorie intake is highly effective.
Regarding taste and cost: KetoneIQ doesn’t taste amazing, but it’s WAY better than what Ketones used to taste and is quite bearable. As for the cost, I prefer the 12oz bottle for $45. They recommend a 1.2oz serving, but I find 2oz more effective, so that’s about 6 servings per bottle.
KetoneIQ also offers single-serving 2oz shots, perfect for travel or when you’re on the move.
