I’ve put together the five things that may cause sudden urges to run and ride.
GU Energy
The trend in gels is towards more grams of carbs per serving. This means you need to take fewer gels with you, can fuel every 30 minutes (versus every 15 to 20), and save money per workout. Currently, the leader is GU Energy. The salted Lime flavor is my favorite. Get them here
Delicious Hydration?
Gnarly already made one of the best-tasting hydrations with its classic Ruby Red Grapefruit, well, we have two limited edition flavors that are even better: Salted Margarita and Lemonade. They have been in our drink dispenser all week at the office and received rave reviews. Get them here.
No scrub bottle cleaning?
As an athlete, I aim to fill every cupboard in your house with free bottles. But are they staying clean? From stains to removing flavor, these effervescent tablets are drop-drop, fiz-fiz cleaning for your bottles. No scrubbing is needed, and the tablets are food safe. I just lightly rinse my bottles after. It is also amazing on hydration packs. Get Bottle Bright here.
Long ride/run compression socks
When I go out for those first long runs and rides in the early season, I often get light foot cramping as might feet are not used to the ongoing strain. I’ve been using compression run/ride socks this year, and I notice far less foot cramping (and fewer blisters from running). Get them here.
Why are the NFL and NHL crazy about BioSteel?
The fastest-growing nutrition brand in major league hockey and football is BioSteel, and it is now available at The Feed. Athletes love the formulations, but especially the flavors. My favorites are the Sport Greens, Hydration Mix, and Chocolate Whey Protein.
Stay fit, stay fast, and always remember to hydrate (with delicious Lemonade or Salted Margarita)!
